When you plan to visit Coorg, it all comes down to how many days you wish to be there and what activities you want to indulge in, during that time. The activities depend on whether you want to play tourist and visit all the attractions (to be honest the attractions are not boastful, but the people and culture are). Our traditions, weddings, religious and social gatherings have more to offer; along with the lush green landscape and lip smacking food to feast the eyes on and stomach with.

The main townships in Coorg, close to which there are attractions are Madikeri, Virajpet and Kushalnagar. These areas are more populated and well endowed with places to eat and stay, it's bustling and yet, a lot of beautiful stays are located in and around these areas.

If you are looking to just relax and enjoy views, read some of my recommendations below which are away from the towns. Here I am dividing the stay as per the type of property they are. I have personally stayed, experienced as well as received first hand feedback from locals who frequent these stays.

Hotels & Resorts

Hotels and resorts in Coorg are situated in the interiors, where the whole property is cut off from even the nearest town. While the properties are beautiful, some guests prefer staying in the property for days without stepping out given the convenience and seclusion of it. Others not so much cut off, where the towns and tourist spots might easily be accessible.
